What is HRSG in a Combined Cycle Power Plant?

HRSG stands for Heat Recovery Steam Generator. It is a critical component used in combined cycle gas power plants to improve efficiency by recovering heat from gas turbine exhaust.

Instead of wasting the hot exhaust gases produced by a gas turbine, the HRSG captures that heat and uses it to produce steam, which then drives a steam turbine to generate additional electricity.

How does a Combined Cycle Power Plant work?
