Heavy-Duty Industrial Gas Turbine PGT-5/B 

The PGT-5/B is a Two Shaft, Heavy-Duty, Industrial Gas Turbine (GT) with the capability of 5050 HP Output and 24 % Efficiency at ISO condition and simple-cycle configuration. Efficiency can increase up to 30% if  the regenerative cycle configuration is applied. The high reliability of the PGT-5/B and the long life of the hot parts have been successfully pursued through the previous extended operation experience, basic know-how  and reference back-ground from the well proven technology state-of-art.  Features like pressure ratio 7.5:1 and firing temperature 924 °C allow the cooling techniques limited to the 1st stage HP nozzle while the turbine buckets are  un-cooled. The design of the PGT-5/B has been developed in 1975, nevertheless the thermal cycle parameters and the construction based on the extensive modularization of the components and subassembly, placed the PGT-5/B within the technology level of the first in class for that period.
