LIVESTOCK CARRIER VESSEL CONTRACTING – COMPANY INTRODUCTION AND INITIAL REQUIREMENT

Subject: Request for Livestock Carrier Vessel Partnership and Transportation Contract

Dear Sir/Madam,

Masbal Livestock Trading is a livestock trading and export company specializing in the sourcing, aggregation, preparation, and supply of livestock to buyers in the Middle East.

Although our company is newly established, our operations are supported by established livestock supply networks and confirmed commercial demand. We have secured several orders and are developing long-term supply arrangements for sheep, camels, and cattle/calves destined for Middle Eastern markets.

As part of our export program, we are seeking to establish a reliable, long-term commercial relationship with qualified livestock carrier vessel owners, operators, charterers, and specialized livestock shipping companies capable of transporting livestock from Berbera Port, Somaliland, to destinations throughout the Middle East.

1. Initial Shipment

Our first confirmed requirement is approximately:

  • 1,600 calves/cattle
  • Minimum required weight: [to be confirmed] kg per animal
  • Origin/loading port: Berbera Port, Somaliland
  • Destination: Middle East – [Kuwait / destination to be confirmed]
  • Required shipment period: [to be confirmed]
  • Shipment basis: Livestock carrier vessel or other suitable livestock transportation arrangement

The final livestock specifications, loading schedule, veterinary requirements, port procedures, and commercial terms will be agreed with the selected carrier prior to confirmation.

2. Additional and Future Shipments

The initial shipment is intended to initiate an ongoing livestock export program and is not contemplated as a one-time transaction.

In addition to the initial order of 1,600 calves, we anticipate arranging further shipments involving:

  • Sheep
  • Camels
  • Calves/cattle

Our objective is to establish a dependable shipping partnership capable of supporting recurring shipments in accordance with confirmed buyer orders and agreed schedules.

Subject to vessel availability, freight competitiveness, and operational performance, we are prepared to consider spot shipments, voyage contracts, framework agreements, and longer-term transportation arrangements.

3. Required Carrier Capabilities

We are prepared to consider cooperation with qualified livestock carrier operators or vessel owners capable of providing:

  1. Suitable livestock carrier vessel capacity;
  2. Competitive and clearly itemized freight rates;
  3. Confirmed availability for loading at Berbera Port;
  4. Appropriate livestock handling, accommodation, feeding, watering, and transportation facilities;
  5. Demonstrated experience in international livestock transportation;
  6. Full compliance with applicable veterinary, animal-welfare, maritime, and port requirements;
  7. Suitable loading and unloading arrangements;
  8. Reliable sailing schedules and operational performance;
  9. Transparent commercial, contractual, and payment terms; and
  10. Capacity to support future and repeat shipments.

We are open to discussing appropriate commercial structures based on vessel availability, including voyage charters, shipment-by-shipment arrangements, and longer-term cooperation agreements.

4. Information Required from Vessel Operators

Interested companies are requested to provide the following information:

  • Vessel name and IMO number;
  • Vessel owner, operator, or chartering entity;
  • Livestock carrying capacity;
  • Maximum number of cattle/calves that may be transported in compliance with applicable welfare and loading standards;
  • Relevant international livestock transportation experience;
  • Current vessel location;
  • Next available sailing date;
  • Availability for loading at Berbera Port;
  • Proposed destination port;
  • Estimated voyage duration;
  • Freight rate or formal quotation;
  • Loading and unloading arrangements;
  • Port charges and all other applicable costs;
  • Veterinary and animal-welfare requirements;
  • Insurance arrangements and coverage;
  • Payment terms;
  • Applicable charter-party or transportation contract terms; and
  • Any additional conditions or documentation required before shipment confirmation.

5. Long-Term Cooperation

We are particularly interested in establishing a relationship with a carrier capable of supporting the growth of our business.

Our commercial strategy is based on securing demand from Middle Eastern buyers and developing a reliable supply chain extending from livestock-producing areas through collection, preparation, quarantine, port handling, sea transportation, and final delivery.

As our purchase and sales contracts expand, our shipping requirements are expected to increase accordingly. We therefore welcome discussions with carriers interested in establishing a long-term commercial relationship rather than handling only a single shipment.

We are prepared to provide the order details, buyer requirements, livestock specifications, proposed loading schedule, and other commercial information necessary for your company to evaluate the requirement and submit a formal proposal.

We look forward to receiving your vessel particulars, availability, freight quotation, proposed schedule, and terms of cooperation.

Kind regards,

Abdirahman Musa
