Subject:  INSPECTION   FORENGINE  GMT -A420.6  ( MAIN PROPULSION   ENGINE)

1.  You  areinvited  to quote to conduct  inspection  / maintenance   for Main propulsion  engines  (S.NOs:  1501, 1502,

1503 & 1504)  Engine  type: GMT-A420.6 .

2.   Description   ofDefect.

NIL.

3.  Required  scope of work.

a.    Request  OEM approved  contractor  conduct  material  & operational  inspection  on Existing  Engine  Clutch pneumatic  control  system  in orderto ascertain  the options  for complete  system  upgrade.  

b.    Pneumatic  control  system  inspection  required  to assess  current  material  condition  of complete  system  and associated  ancillary  equipment,  but focusing  on deteriorated  system  flexible  hose and connections,   existing pneumatic  components   andoverall  operability  from all operating  positions-locally     in engine  room, remotely from MCR  and also in emergency  mode.  Functional  test to be conducted  on each engine  prior  to basin  / sea trial asrequired.

c.     Detailed  reports  to be provided  on completion  of inspections  and trials.Any defects  identified  during  inspection  / trials procedure  are to be immediately  highlighted  to ship staff and RFM management  representatives.

d.    On completion  of inspection  and trials, detailed  report  of findings  to be presented  to RNO  SeniorTechnical  Staff for review.  Report  to contain  options  for full system  upgrade,  detailed  scope of work with projected  tirnscales

and all supporting  manpower  requirements,   technical  documentation   and SSTE required  to conduct  upgrade. Requirements   for additional  on-site  visits  are to be clearly  stated.

e.   Upgrade  proposals  to include  all commissioning   procedures   andwarranty  details  of replacement   system.

f.    Quotation  to include  option  of any additional  inspection  and maintenance   routines  which  would  enhance  the overall  system.

g.   Projected date for conducting  and completion  of inspections  and trial routines  is September  2021

4.  Additional  remarks.

a.  Trials  and acceptance:  On completion,   systemwill undergo trials,   acceptance  will be declared  on satisfaction  of

RNO.

b.  SpareLists:  if required  must be submitted  (with part numbers)  in a separate  quotation. c.  Warranty:  appropriate  warranty  is required.

d.  Scope  of work:  full scopewith time plan is to be submitted. e.  Delivery  forecast:  should be stated  clearly.

f.  Closing  date: NIL.
