Detroit Diesel Factory Tour

We journeyed to Detroit’s engine manufacturing factory in Michigan USA to see first hand the quality that is built into the world’s leading heavy-duty truck engines, and the preferred engine supplier for Western Star trucks.


Detroit Diesel as they were known back then started building their famous 71-Series engine in 1938. They introduced their 92-Series in 1974 and in 1987 they launched the popular Series-60 engine. In 2007 they ushered in a new era of engine performance and reliability with DD platform.
