Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation Announces Delivery of New Building VLCC Vessel

PIRAEUS, GREECE, Jun 14, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX)

Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation ("Navios Acquisition") (NYSE: NNA), an owner and operator of tanker vessels, announced that the Shinyo Kieran, a VLCC vessel of 297,066 dwt, was delivered on June 8, 2011 from a Chinese shipyard to Navios Acquisition's owned fleet. The vessel is chartered out for 15 years at a net rate of $48,153 per day with profit sharing.

Time Charter Coverage Currently, Navios Acquisition has contracted 90.1% and 57.4% of its available days on a charter-out basis for 2011 and 2012, respectively.
