OceanSchedules to Start Automated Schedule Service

OceanSchedules.com said it is launching an automated schedule service for shippers and forwarders based on data from INTTRA.The company said the service,

called OceanSchedules Data Feed, eliminates errors from the manual process of gathering and aggregating schedule data for integration into shippers and freight forwarders internal applications.
The service, which will start in September, will use more than 7 million global schedules that INTTRA collects from 28 carriers. Users will be able to receive daily, consolidated schedules directly via the OceanSchedules Data Feed for their carriers.
"We know from shippers that gathering, checking and consolidating carrier schedule data is a labor intensive process caused by a lack of industry standards, incomplete transport planning data and antiquated internal systems,” said Perry Steinberg, senior director of product management.
OceanSchedules.com said the service will provide users with end-to-end automation that eliminates errors related to manual entry and human error. The service can be integrated daily into users data systems using multiple data formats to support internal workflow processes. Data elements include carrier SCAC, Lloyd's code, vessel name, voyage number, departure date, arrival date, UN location codes, and conveyance numbers.
