RECON Crankshaft from SULZER Stationary Engine Type 8ZAL40S to let go.

In caso of interest please present your best terms.

Crankshaft is presently at storage at Rotterdem The Netherlands for immediate delivery (ex-works).

Regarding Crankshaft history, it belonged to a stationary SULZER ENGINE type 8ZAL40S Serial No. 740 223 installed in Portugal, and always maintained by ENERGETUS (former SULZER Portugal), until the day the engine stopped due to the termination of the power plant owner contract with Portugal Sate Electricity Company (EDP) in 2013.

The engine as stopped with approx. 90000 running hours shortly after a major overhaul performed with approx. 88000 running hours.

ENERGETUS decided at the time to buy the complete engine from the engine owner and stripped it for second hand/recon parts.

The crankshaft, was sent to Mark Van Schaick workshop in Rotterdam The Netherlands, by the end of 2013 to recon and has been kept storage there until now.

All the Main Journals were polished and kept the standard dimensions and all the Crankpins were machined for the first undersize measure of -0,4 MM as stated on Report issued by Mark Van Schaik and confirmed by DNV thru attached Survey Report No.: N140074B.

We also have the crankshaft original certificates as well as some pictures of the crankshaft while at Mark’s Van Schaick workshop doing the recon works.

In case more information is required please feel free to just ask.

Best regards,

Vitor Rebola
