| To disconnect and remove all connections and covers in way of | ||||||
| cleaning work | ||||||
| Clean the rotor and stator coils and all parts by chemical jet | ||||||
| flushing with compressed air. After flushing, to dry alternator by | ||||||
| blowing hot air to maintain a drying temperature of about 90'C. | ||||||
| Take care not to locally overheat any part. | ||||||
| Measure and record air gap and insulation readings. To measure | ||||||
| air gap to at top, bottom, left and right using proper gauges. To | ||||||
| separately take insulation readings with all connections to switch | ||||||
| board when alternator is hot and at normal temperature. | ||||||
| To record all readings and submit to owner's rep. | ||||||
| To mount, re-align and retrofit as original. | ||||||
| Alternatively, to transport the whole alternators to workshop for | ||||||
| chemical cleaning and drying by baking to bring up the insulation. | ||||||
| On completion, to carry out varnishing. | ||||||
| To deliver alternator vessel, mount, re-align and retrofit as original. | ||||||
